Pearl Harbor

If we were to take the bus to go to Pearl Harbor what time do you think we should leave? Also, once you are done the complete tour where do you go to catch the bus back to Waikiki? Will you have to wait long for the bus? I have read on this forum that it is better to take a bus/shuttle then to rent a car?

I don%26#39;t know where you read it is to take the Bus than rent a car but I would say the opposite. The Bus is by far cheaper but it would take you longer to get there and you would have to leave earlier to get there than if you drove.

I also think renting a car is the way to go.

With the time saved driving vs taking the bus, you can visit National Cemetery of the Pacific %26amp; drive Tantalus.

30 minutes by car from Waikiki to USS Arizona Memorial.

1 hour 15 minutes by bus plus any waiting time.

We took the bus and left our hotel at 9 AM and arrived about 10 AM. The bus drops off right in front of Arizona Memorial. the pick up stop is righ out on the street, in front of the Arizona Mem. It was great, we went last summer and talked to some of the locals on the way. Very freindly and gave great advice to us.
