Maui Hotel for Family with Teenagers

We are going to be in Maui in mid-June traveling with 2 adults and 3 teenagers (ages 12-17). Looking for a great hotel with nice rooms, swimming pools and beach. Suggestions?

Maui Hotel for Family with Teenagers

1) establish where on Maui you would like to stay? South Maui or West Maui?

2) What is your nightly accomodations budget?

3) With 5 adults, you%26#39;ll need two hotel rooms. Would you consider a condo?

We loved the Marriott Maui Ocean Club.

1. Flexible on location within Maui

2. No specific budget - planning to spend $250 - $450 per room per night (7 nights stay for 2 rooms)

3. Prefer a hotel over a condo.

It sounds like you would like either Grand Wailea in Wailea or Hyatt Regency Maui in Kaanapali. Both of these resort have great pools and the teens would probably like the pools at Grand Wailea the most...also a great beach.

I would look at the Kaanapali area with teens..a little more ';action'; with Whaler%26#39;s Village and then Lahaina close by. You state that you are looking at hotels not condos...please take a look at the Westin Kaanapali Resort Villas. You can get a 2 bedroom lock-off well within your budget, that provides a lot more room to stretchout with teens plus kitchens for snacks etc. They really offer all the hotel amenities (except for daily maid service and you CAN add that)...they have on site resturants, grocery, plus free shuttles to Whaler%26#39;s and Lahina...the beach right in front is wonderful. The Hyatt has great pools as does the Westin, best beach on that side of Black Rock is infront of the Sheraton. Good luck!

We%26#39;ve narrowed it down to the Hyatt, Sheraton or Westin. Any suggestions on which one would be best for a family with teenagers?

The pools at the Hyatt are outstanding, the beach in front of the Sheraton is outstanding...and they are both a short walk to Whaler%26#39;s Village. Do will depend on if they are more into pools or the beach!

Rent a 3BR, 3BA at Honua Kai for as little as $400 per night on west maui then move over to Grand Wailea for the last couple nights with the money you save. Over a grand a night for two rooms at GW. This was my compromise with my 13, 16 and 19 yr olds for our upcoming trip. They wanted GW for the week. I wanted Honua Kai. We ended up with the above.
