Yummy thanks so much. I thought just microwave but wanted to be sure. I didnt see any okra but that would have been great!!!! I could have spent the day at that market!! Gladly!!! I have never gotten such fresh ginger!! Ever.I just wish I Could get some home along with eveything else of course==or just stay here. Im going to have to resume playing the lotto. Even did a shot of Noni while I was there. We did get some half green beans/half asparagus. We just dont have produce like Calif or Hawaii in big D.
My wife makes a great looking and great tasting purple potato salad with hard-boiled eggs. Gets a lot of questions at potlucks. Otherwise, you can use%26#39;em just like regular potatoes: baked, boiled, mashed, etc.
Ok Im going to share this with ya';ll to show I can laugh at myself!! The local purple sweet potatoes blew up in the microwave and turned the whole inside of the microwave===you guessed it Purple!! not a good cooking night at the house!!
Did you poke holes in them? Must have been a mess to clean up...

Yes yes I poked the holes!! Actually my dh was like honey your potatoes just blew up and I was like ';what have you done';//?? Yeah it was a big purple mess!! Oh well pretty funny after the fact.
Yes, most of us have had similar or worse mishaps on vacation and definitly at home. You will most likely be able to laugh about the fate of your purple sweet potatoes for quite some time...
