At Whalers Village there is Leilani%26#39;s - our favorite, but many like Hula Grill which is directly across from Leilani%26#39;s. Cane %26amp; Taro is apparently not in a hurry, so your options are limited there.

So then I would suggest lunch at Hula Grill then dinner at Leilanis (upstairs is reportedly more upscale), but of course you could do it however you wish.

what type of food will Cane %26amp; Taro be? we are going in november so i%26#39;m assuming it will be open

Lunch - Hula Grill outside.

Dinner - Leilani%26#39;s inside.

Cane and Taro was supposed to be finished when we visited last December ... so who knows when they will open.

The thing about Cane and Taro is that they are supposed to be open for breakfast -- which would be wonderful! Neither Hula Grill nor Leilani%26#39;s is open for breakfast and the resort breakfasts are $$$$$!

I do hope Cane %26amp; Taro are open by November! A breakfast place is needed there, as well as just something slightly different.

A suggestion for your breakfasts - if you are so inclined - would be Castaway Cafe which is located just north of Black Rock on the beach in front ot Kaanapali Villas, not a bad walk or catch a shuttle.
