How big are the lanaii's at Kaanapali Beach Hotel?

We are about to book a room (hopefully one that has recently been remodeled) and was wondering if their balconys have furniture and are big enough to sit out on..

frostyflorida - the lanai%26#39;s have two chairs and a small table, not huge - but big enough to enjoy without feeling cramped. We spent a lot of time out on our lanai enjoying the view and the music from the show. Silly entertainment was watching the slient rearranging of all the lounge chairs in the evenings and again in the morning as the groundskeepers went about their chores.

thanks LesRose for your info. What room did you have? You also answered my question about the mold and mildew in the rooms..recommending I book a room that has been recently remodeled. Any other good info you can offer?

frostyflorida - I know they won%26#39;t %26#39;guarantee%26#39; anything, but your request will be noted. If you are not happy with the room they assign you then take your smiling face to the front desk and request another. What type of room are you booking?

We are looking to book an oceanview..do you know if any of those have been recently remodeled?

The rooms in the Maui wing were all renovated, majority of those in the Lanai wing were last time I spoke to someone there, but the Kauai wing was still in progress. We stayed in a room pretty much at the end of Lanai wing just near the elevator - the large open space on the 6th floor between the two wings is a great spot to watch the sunrise! Even though we were further back from the beach, the view was great. The best views will be from those two wings because of their positioning. If you look at the property layout you will see.

So I still suggest simply requesting a renovated room, perhaps choose a wing - or just see what they have for you upon arrival. Do mention when you talk to them that you have allergies and need to be away from smokers and in a renovated room.

I do hope you enjoy your stay, have a great vacation. Perhaps a trip report upon your return?
