scheduled to go to moon palace in cancun, considering hawaii

We are scheduled to go to Moon Palace in Cancun July 8- July 15. My husband, 4 children (ages 4 thru 9), and I are booked in a Presidential Suite. We are considering a change to Hawaii. We prefer something very nice and kid friendly. Any suggestions. Thanks

Kids love the Grand Wailea in Maui for its pools. You might also like Four Seasons Maui. Actually, with four kids I%26#39;d prefer a condo. Some of the Wailea Beach Villas have a connection for pool use at the Grand Wailea.

The forum is seeing several posts from people deciding against Mexico right now -- coming to Hawaii instead.

Sad to say this but Hawaii needs all these people who had Mexico vacations planned. Come spend your well earned money and help the US economy!!

Oahu has a lot to offer also. You may want to check out the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It%26#39;s a huge resort and especially caters to families. Check out Waikiki and then take a short drive to the north shore to see the more rural areas of Oahu.

Maui is a little more layed back as is Kauai. Look at the menu at the left for each island. Click ';before you go'; and ';things to do'; for more insight!!

With apologies to the green sea turtles (inside joke) I wouldn%26#39;t describe Maui as laid back. Way too much traffic and crowds. I%26#39;d recommend the Grand Hyatt on Kaua`i. Fabulous pool, and close to kid-friendly swimming beaches. Or, the Westin, on the north shore, maybe better in July. Again, a great pool, close-by beaches. In July, the north shores of the islands will be cooler, and Kaua`i%26#39;s north shore is especially lush, green and gorgeous.

Then again, you could consider a nice beachfront cottage here. Probably no pool but certainly kid friendly.
