Will be staying in Hanalei in July for our furst Hawaii trip and am looking for a dive shop recomendation. We are beginner divers recently certified in the Caribbean. Also looking for snorkeling recomendations. Thanks for your help!

There are several areas that are great for snorkeling . . . Ke%26#39;e beach, Tunnels, Hideaways to name a few. Get the Kauai Revealed guidebook, which will show you where they are and how to get there. Not sure about diving - if you don%26#39;t get a response, either PM Kwils or Cicopo, as I am sure they would have dive recommendations for you.

Can%26#39;t help you with the diving - others on the forum will be able to help you with that.

In July, the best snorkeling will definitely be on the north shore. Our favorites, in order of preference would be Hideaways, Tunnels, Ke%26#39;e, Kepuhi and Sealodge (shallow, so only at high tide).

We have used Seasport Divers a number of times. They are professional and safety conscious and were excellent with beginners as well as more advanced. However, they are out of Poipu. I%26#39;m not familiar with the NS divers, but I%26#39;m sure others are.

STX,

I have been diving on Kauai the past two July%26#39;s and am going back again this July. i have had a great time with ';Bubbles Below'; The problem is this...they operate out of Port Allen on the South Shore. I think you are going to be getting up very very early to make the ride south, The Boats assemble around 7:30 a. m. and are back around noon two tank dives. Check out the websites for both Bubbles Below and Seasport Divers you will get more info. Any other questions you have ,there is a way to e-mail me via Trip Advisor, I will gladly give Kauai diving info.

Mahalo,

Rich

Thanks everybody for your info.....does anybody else know about any NorthShore dive shops, or dive shops that do North Shore diving?
