Coming to Kauai soon, forecasts all seem to change and be inconsistent - is the weather improving - we are staying in Poipu? Thanks
Is the weather improving?
was grey and grim much of the day in Anahola. Rain in the AM. The clouds are high so it%26#39;s bright, but not a lot of sunshine. It%26#39;s also faily cool at night right now.
It%26#39;s not bad. Just not what you%26#39;d expect.
Is the weather improving?
While it was a little grey and drizzly on the east side today, the Poipu area was sunny and dry. I spent time both places today. On the whole, I%26#39;d say the weather is improving - getting more springlike each day.
Late (10:20 PM) weather forecast for the next few days is 80ish on the high and 68-70 on the lows. That%26#39;s pretty cold for May 1. Some clouds and a few showers. Should be better on the lee sides like Poipu.
Don%26#39;t blame me. blame Channel 8.

Thanks for the link, backcountry...this will be a good part of our time in Kauai! A big sigh of relief!!
Sunny and warm with a bit of breeze up here in Moloa`a / Kilauea.
80%26#39;s cold? C%26#39;mon now, Dave.
cmon yourself, you sure you don%26#39;t work for the Tourist Bureau?

A monthly avg temp of 70 vs a 46 year average of 74 is what it is-- below average. Add a bit of wind and I actually am wearing long pants/socks which is rare as I%26#39;m not usually temp sensitive. This is not a good spring IMO based on 10+ years here. If you%26#39;re happy, great. But it%26#39;s not accurate to tell people all is well when it%26#39;s not really up to par. Beats the h--l out of Minnesota, but it%26#39;s not our usual balmy April.
Interesting how the matter of weather can become the subject of a huge debate sometimes. On every visit I have never had to wear a jacket or long pants. The earliest in the year I%26#39;ve ever been is early May, and the latest is mid-September. If I ever had to wear a sweater or jacket at night while visiting Kauai, it would indeed be a different experience for me.
Beautiful on the north shore sunny about 75 degrees today//cool breezes/whales still out there!!
